Shelby County Chess is proud to announce it's official participation in this year's Memphis in May Chess Exhibition and Tournament, as part of the "Salute to the Philippines"!
EVENTS:
*Simul against International Master Angelo Young of the Philippines (pictured above):
+ Begins at 12:30 p.m.
+ Winners will receive a free chess book!
+ IM Young will also be signing autographs and providing photo-ops to all players
*Blitz-A-Thon:
+ Begins at 3:30 p.m.
+ 7 Rounds, Game in 5 minutes
+ Trophies awarded to 1st place in each section, ribbons for all!
+ Players should bring their own chess equipment if possible
